The Dainties of the World
 
1. Shun the dainties of the world, 
Walk in ways of health;
Satan tempts us to defile 
Ourselves, he works with stealth.

Dare to be a Daniel, 
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known! 
 
2. Shake your head to worldly sweets, 
They will do you harm;
Choose creation's lovely fruits 
To keep you clean and calm.

3. Sugar is a modern curse, 
Bitter in the end;
It will bring disease and worse– 
Pollution–Satan's friend. 
(Refrain)
 
4. Do not let those sweets deceive, 
Friend of mine, be strong;
Purify as Christ is pure 
Then welcome Him 'ere long.
