2. The King Himself draws near,
    And feasts His saints today;
Here we may sit, and see Him here,

Isaac Watts (1674-1748) wrote the words to this hymn, although I made a few minor changes. The tune is adapted from part of Handel’s Messiah, “He Shall Feed His Flock.”
