I’ve furnished you, dear human,
    With countless useful parts,
To help you on this path of life,
    And touch a million hearts.

You’ll find they’re multi-functioned,
    You’ll use them every day—
Both here and there, in joy or care;
    I fashioned them that way.

You do not need instructions.
(You’ve learnt them, yes, with pride.)
But of their use, I’ll give to you
    A basic dummies guide.

You have two eyes for looking.
Let’s call them, ‘one’ and ‘two’.
Eye ‘one’ you use to look for Me
    In everything you do.

To read My word in nature,
    To read My holy book.
To view the wonders I have made,
This eye is used to look.

Eye ‘two’ is used for others.
To see their toil and care.
That you may view what others do,
Is why I placed it there.

Two ears are your equipment,
    (They’re pointing out, not in.)
To hear the most important things,
    And filter through the din.

Again, you have two units,
    Specific to their call–
Ear ‘one’ is used to hear My voice,
    Ear ‘two’, for humans, all.

Now, something very handy;
    I’ve given you two hands!
And what a blessing they will prove
    To him who understands!

Hand ‘one’ is used to hold Me,
    Throughout the winding way.
To hold My word, to grasp by faith,
And not let go; to pray.

Hand ‘two’ (You get the picture?)
    Is used for fellow man.
To bind his wounds, to dry his eye,
    To help, where’er you can.

Two feet you have been issued,
    The principle applies:
The first for Me, the next for man–
    Just ask, should doubt arise.

One mouth you have been given.
One mouth, to call your own!
But note, please do, you haven’t two–
    Just one, and one alone.

The principle’s still valid–
    This mouth connects with Me.
You’ll find it is imperative
    For life in general, see.

So tell Me all your problems,
And tell Me all your care.
The things that hurt your human heart,
    The sorrows you must bear.

But speak these not to others;
    Malfunction may result!
A usage other than designed
    Will cause protection fault.

So there you are, dear human.
I’ll stop it here; no more.
And if you are perplexed at all,
That’s what your mouth is for.
