The Fairest of Women 1. The fairest of women, all beauteous and bright; The gold of your righteousness shines in the night. You are a King's daughter, a queen as you stand In privilege great, at the King's own right hand. 2. Now hearken, fair daughter, consider, be wise, So shall you find beauty and grace in His eyes. Forget your connection to old Adam's race, The house of rebellion no longer embrace. 3. And worship the Lord who has made you anew, To hate what is wicked, to love what is true. For this shall all nations, the rich and the poor, Seek you, for the favor of God to secure. 4. O daughter, what makes you so glorious within? "My clothing of gold was all made by the King. It has not one stitch of man's self-righteous ways, But shows His own glory, and sings His high praise." 5. But who are these virgins, so meek and so mild? "My last faithful servants, who were not defil'd; Endur'd to the end to unite me with Him, And now to His palace we enter within. 6. This daughter and queen is the Church of God's Son, Who battled temptation, and victory won; Her members are princes in all the earth wide, And ever eternally, with Him abide.
