Place me, O Lord, as a jewel on Your heart,
As a signet ring upon Your finger.

1. For stronger than death is love's power;
Glowing the coals of its fire,
The mighty flames forever blazing.
 
If man would give all he had to buy love,
All his gold and all of his possessions.

2. Then all this could never suffice him.
Shamed before love he would fall 
For all its value would despise him. 

Place me, O Lord, as a jewel on Your heart,
