Noah's Call
 
1. Two thousand years since earth was made,
God called to Noah and He said, 
"Build me an ark: a ship of wood,
To save men from the coming flood." 
 
2. Now Noah was a righteous man,
Who did all things by God's command;
And as he built, he preached and told 
All people of the coming flood. 
 
3. But all men's thoughts were evil still:
They ate and drank and married 'till 
Down came the rain, and drowned them all.
Why did they laugh at Noah's call? 
 
4. So let us learn in our own day,
To heed God's warnings and obey.
While sinners scoff and boldly laugh,
In God's commandments we'll be safe.
