Missionaries 1. His name in all the earth we bring, abroad, both near and far; And tell of His almighty love to save from what we are. Oppressive chains of sin He broke upon the cursed tree, In slavery no longer now, His love has made us free! Refrain: Sounding out the battle cry, proclaiming the good news; Healing all the suff'ring ones who haven't heard the truth; Now we go out two by two, as Christ has shown the same, With one thought and purpose true: to glorify His name. 2. His Second Advent soon to come, to all who dwell on earth; And so we speak of His great Law, and what that Law is worth. He comes to judge all mortal men, on His word we must stand; And let Him work His perfect work: divinity in man. (Refrain) 3. Of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost—the greatest mystery! Our works will tell of who they are, through daily ministry. The highest task e'er giv'n to men He now commits to us, This solemn work we now perform: our missionary trust. (Refrain)
