Law of Promise
 
1. On the mount the Law was giv'n, ten great promises of heav'n;
Precious precepts from above, mirror of the Saviour's love.
Loyalty and worship true, holiness and rev'rence too,
Honor parents, life respect, in Thy precepts I am blest. 
 
2. On the cross the Saviour died, then the Law was magnified;
Justice did with mercy kiss, formed the rainbow promise. 
 
3. My poor heart is prone to stray, teach me how I can obey.
Write Thy Law of love within, keep me from the pow'r of sin. 
 
4. When the judgment comes to me, may my life show only Thee.
In my forehead seal Thy Law, free from sin for evermore.
