Holy Law 1. Oh how I love Your holy law! It's daily my delight; I meditate and from it draw divine advice by night. My waking eyes precede the day to counsel with Your word; My soul with longing melts away to hear Your gospel, Lord. 2. Your heav'nly words my heart engage, and well employ my tongue, And in my tiresome pilgrimage yield me a heav'nly song. When I am trav'ling, or at home, it's my perpetual feast; Not honey dropping from the comb is sweeter to the taste. 3. No treasures so enrich the mind; nor shall Your word be sold For loads of silver well refin'd, nor heaps of choicest gold. When nature sinks, and spirits droop, Your promises of grace Are pillars to support my hope; and sadness turns to praise. Text: based on Psalm 119:97,148,11,13,54,19,103,72,127,28,49,175
