As Morning Breaks 1. As morning breaks and casts its light, across the tranquil sky, I lift my voice in pray'r and praise, to Thee, oh Lord most high. Receive my life anew this day, and make me wholly Thine; All that I am and all I own, I count no longer mine. 2. My wayward will I al so yield, I give it up to be United with Thine own and then, returned again to me. Confine me in Thy perfect rest, my thoughts upon Thee stay, Oh let me hear Thy gentle voice, and Thy commands obey. 3. Direct me in the narrow way, and my protector be, Sustain me in temptation's hour, I hide my self in Thee. Enable me to read aright, the lessons all contained, In providence, in Holy Script, and all that Thou hast made. 4. And now I pray Thy Spirit give, Thy love to fill my heart, That freely as I have received, I also may impart.
