Are You Ready?
 
1. Are you ready for the judgment day? judgment day?
And to give account for all that you say?
Are you murmuring each time duty calls?
And complaining when each trial befalls?
Are you ready to be taught? To be molded, shaped, and wrought?
Have you courage in the face of your foes?
Are you ready to be meek, to be strong and not be weak,
And to stand for God when others oppose?  
 
2. Are you ready for the judgment day?
Or still wasting time in pride and display?
Is your lifestyle one of comfort and ease?
And with time to do whatever you please?
Are you ready to be changed? To be wholly rearranged?
Have you given all your ways to the Lord?
Are you ready to leave all when you hear the warning call,
And to live as in the sight of the Lord?  
 
3. Are you ready for the judgment day?
Are you searching your own heart, as you pray?
Are you studying the life of the Lord?
Are you storing in your heart, ev'ry word?
Are you ready and awake? Soon the Judge will come and take 
All His children to receive their reward.
Are you ready for that day? Time is short, now watch and pray,
And be perfect in the sight of the Lord.  
 
4. Are you ready for the judgment day?
Are you walking in the straight, narrow way?
Are you disciplined to stand in the strife?
Are you taking up the school of life?
Are you ready to confess, And to live in holiness,
Store up patience, faith, and love in your soul.
Are you ready for that day? If you're not, then don't delay!
Lay your burdens down and run for the goal.
