Although the Way

1. Although the way be fearsome, although the way be drear,
Remember friends are with you and that Christ is ever near.
Although the way be gloomy, although the way be dark,
Remember He’s beside you, guiding you towards the mark.

2. Although the way be rocky, although the way be rough,
Remember how He’s led you thru the easy and the tough.
Although the way be stony, although the way be steep,
Remember how He’s led you thru the shallows and the deep.

3. Although the way be narrow, although the way be long,
Remember He’s beside you, always there to keep you strong.
Although the way be lonely, although the way be cold,
Remember He’s beside you with His hand for you to hold.

4. Although the way be rugged, although the way be hard,
Remember how He’s led you even though the way you’ve marred.
Although the way be windy, although you may feel lost,
He’s given His life for you and He never counts the cost.

5. Although the way be stormy, although the way be harsh,
Remember He’ll protect you from the quicksand and the marsh.
Although the way be misty, although the way be dim,
Remember He’s there for you if you only trust in Him.

6. Although the way be painful, although the cuts be deep,
Remember He’s there with you when you’re scared and when you weep.
Although you may be weary, although you may feel sad,
Don’t ever let the good times be forgotten when it’s bad.

7. Although you’re tempted sorely, although the doubts press in,
Keep clinging to the pathway and He’ll keep you safe from sin.
Just don’t deny He’s led you each  step along the way,
He’ll guide you each tomorrow, if you follow Him today.
