God Does Not Delight in Wars

David was a man of war, so he could not build the house of the Lord;
Solomon was a prince of peace, so he built God’s house and he did not cease.

1. God does not delight in wars; killing, fighting, He abhors;
But He loves the hands that share, thinking of the others care.

2. Listen to the God of love, warning us from heav’n above:
“All who by the sword survive, by the sword shall surely die.

3. How we cling unto our toys, like they were the source of joys;
But true joy will only start when we give with all our heart.

4. When we want real happiness, let us think of how to bless:
Do what Mom and Dad command, freely give a helping hand.
